What is the difference between an $80 SEO product and a Ten Ships SEO Blast?

May 30th, 2008

Dear Ten Ships,

What is the difference between an $80 SEO (Search Engine Optimization) product that many companies provide, and a Ten Ships $500 SEO Blast?

Dear Toni,

Most companies will sell you the idea of search engine optimization more than an actual solution. Many of these so-called “SEO” products that cost up to $100 are really nothing more than an automated submission to Google Yahoo, MSN, etc.

Of course, with any Search Engine Optimization campaign, it’s extremely important to monitor your users and continually update your website to increase your ROI (Return on Investment). You can do this by using a web statistics program to monitor your website’s traffic to determine the most efficient marketing strategy.

Also, we strongly recommend that all businesses get live chat directly on their website, so as to establish a direct connection with your customers. Live Chat acts as your Online Virtual Employee, allowing you to reach your customers unlike ever before! Watch your customers come and go from your website, just as if it were an actual store. Live Chat allows for direct support and/or sales contacts in LIVE-TIME, on your website.

These are just a few of the Many strategies that Ten Ships uses to offer our cost-effective Campaign. We know that cost-effective advertising for your business means that your marketing money should potentially generate an even larger ROI (Return on Investment) for your business in the future.

To answer your question directly, Ten Ships SEO Blast is vastly superior to a useless mass submission product that will get you nothing more then a lot of junk mail and no results. We believe that internet marketing is just as important as having a storefront presence online. As a small business owner, its your responsibility to let the online world know that you are open and available for business. Let Ten Ships get you results by promoting your business online to millions of people all around the world!

Who owns my domain name and my website’s code?!?

May 29th, 2008

Dear Ten Ships,

I purchased my domain name and my website last year from a well known company, and I want to move my services to Ten Ships because I’m not happy with the level of service I have previously been given. I was told that I do not own my domain name or my website, and so I’m unable to transfer my website! They told me that they were the legal owner of both my domain name and my website’s code! I was shocked because naturally I just assumed that I was the owner and I never thought to even ask such a question. If I were to purchase my domain name and website through Ten Ships, do I own the domain name and the website code??

Dear Toni,

Unfortunately there are some companies out there that do in fact retain ownership over your website code and domain name. However, Ten Ships is not one of those companies. If you purchase a domain name or a website through Ten Ships, you are 100% the legal registered owner of your website. You have the ability to move services anytime, no strings attached. We believe that our superior service and extensive knowledge is what keeps our customers satisfied.

TIPS

You can verify you are the owner of a domain name by checking the WhoIs database. You can visit ajaxdns.com, to search the Whois database for your domain name, and make sure your information is listed as the REGISTRANT. If you are listed as the Registrant of a domain name, you will always be able to get your domain name back as long as you can provide proof of ownership.

To protect your website code, you can always ask for the website code on a CD. Don’t forget to ask for all login information such as MYSQL databases. Alternatively, you could also consider maintaining consistent backups to an off-site server.

Don’t be bashful before you buy! Ask up front whether or not you will be the owner of the website code and domain name. If possible, get something in writing stating that you are the legal registered owner of both.
